Campcraft compeitition.

Today marks the end of my campcraft trainings. No more tying, no more peggings, no more squating under the hot sun tying lashings. No more manharness. No more coling. No more clove hitches. No more reef knots. No more throwing pegs around. No more showing attitude when we have to go another round. No more laughing and giggling (jiggling) to inside jokes during debriefs with our NCOs. No more sufferings from blisters due to pegging (Clare) and pulling manila helpms with our utmost force. No more downward force, upward force. No more being spars and bamboo pole up and down staircases. No more round lashes. No more 12.4.8. No more "tensions are not strong enough"s. No more "untidy clove hitches"s. & in 3 to 4 weeks times, no more Sec 4 NCOS.

Today also marks the start of U08's NCO journey. No more regular water breaks. No more seniors guiding us. No more early dsimissals. More Sec One Orientation Camp meetings. More lectures. More camps. More courses.

For today's competition, it;s actually quite a failure I think . (MY OWN PERSONAL VIEW). So this was what happened :
Woke up at 515am in the morning and got out of my house as soon as possible. Met up with Clare and hit the McDonalds for breakfast. Headed off to the busstop opposite Unity, and bus-ed to Pierce Secondary. Ma'am Kaibing was briefing us about the procedures on the bus. Upon reaching, we sat int he canteen, registered and after some briefings, the competition started . OKAY THIS WAS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED :
Once we heard the first long horn, I took the 3.5m manila helpms and nylon rope while Yingtian took others. Was practically dragging the spars to the farthest end and tied ours round lashings as fast as possible. I didn't bother to tie a thumbknot at one end because I was in a pretty rushing mood. Yingtian immediately proceeded with her 12,4,8 clove hitch, while I started with my manharness. I completely forgetten about the carabiner and immediately placed my nylon rope into my manharness. It was when Clare shouted : "Eh, 那个carabiner ley ?" that I realise dI completely forgotten about it. -.- So we had to remove the nylon rope, clip on the carabiner, and run through our nylon rope . It was really time-consuming and when we were finally done, we put everything in place and proceeding with guyline. When Clare and I were strongly holding on to our guyline and waiting for Yingtian to slowly leave the pole and reaching the peg, the pole almost fell. The CIs in charge was running in and out of the lot cause our pole was threatening to fall all the time. When Yingtian reached the nearest peg and tying her slipknot, the pole was shaking all about. & I REALLY MEAN SHAKE, SHAKE REALLY DANGEROUSLY. Clare ended up calling Cailing from the gadget to hug the pole while we tied. As Yingtian, Clare and I pulled at "3", Cailing actually post grip of the pole( as it's her virgin try) and the whole thing fell. Thus, she roughly gauged the middle point and called Amirah to hug it instead. We quickly carried on 'cause our fastest timing was, as shown on the previous post, 13 minutes. Initially, I didn't have any strength to pull my guyline. I get really nervous as I thought I will be the one ruining everything again. But then I thought : "I am useless, but still, I cannot let others' effort go down to the drain just because of my uselessness." . Then, out of nowhere, I pulled my guyline with MY ALL MIGHT AND STRENGTH. Miraclously, my guyline managed to tighten and I quickly end with 2 half-hitch and butterfly knot. That when roughly when I saw Yingtian having difficulties with her slipknot. I shouted : " Yingtian !!! 你可以吗！！！ " . I ran over and found out that she actually had problems with her guyline. I took over her and signaled her to settle the flag. I pulled her guyline with all my might again, and woohoo! It tightened . Fighting spirit, must be the help of competition around me . ^^ Settled flag and FLAG IS DONE ! IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. But the problem was, THE POLE WAS SLANTED, OUR 12,4,8 HITCHES WAS REALLY VERY UNTIDY, OUR TENSION WAS BULLSHIT. Gadget can't fit our mess tin, and shelter was not even up. ):

So much for that 12 minutes.

No personal offence but I think our training since Dec 15 has gone down the drain. i mena, this training had taught us what is campcraft, knots, lashings, this and that this and that ... But we were trained for more than 2 months, while other school only started when school reopened. So much so for not taking trainings seriously.

Now I miss tying guyline, tying round lashing, tying my 12,4,8 clove hitches, I miss pulling the school flag on my pole, I miss arranging my two spars and identifying the top and the bottom, I miss dirtying my whole hands due to the dirty field. I can't believe I'm saying this but I MISS CAMPCRAFT. ): & It so happens that campcraft competition occurs on alternate years and today's competition is the last chance U08 is experiencing this. When chance is just at our doorstep, we don't cherish it ... and when it's gone, we regret. People ...

After the competition, went to discuss proposal, and gossip session. i really went on hyper mode during the gossip session ! LAUGHING ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE SESSION ?! Hahaha, really had a good time . ^^

Next week schedule:
Monday - Dry shooting practice.
Tuesday - Sec One Orientation Camp meeting.
Wednesday - Meet up with Mdm Rashidah (?)
Thursday - YGSP Adobe Animation Workshop @ Ngee Ann + Trainings (Goodgame, after workshop I need to rush for training, hectic man)
Friday - HOPEFULLY I'm free ...




I know this is abrupt BUT I need to go and rush my proposal ... Or else tomorrow's exhausting workload is going to kill me mentally. No joke. Kthxbye.

Tired week 1 + tired week 2 = Super tired me .

This week's even worse than last week.
Now it's not just training + studying = sleep late . It's training ending at 7+pm every day + test week + sleep super late + no appeitite + stress = EXHAUSTED ME + DISAPPOINTING RESULTS + DISAPPOINTMENTS IN MYSELF + CRYING WHEN I ENCOUNTER SOMETHING DISAPPOINTING ...

I'm not supposed to complain, I know. But I can't help to. People always say, "When you get to the end of the rope, tie a knot, and hang on." I'm hanging on. It's the rope that's going to break.

I shall not complain any further. I WILL NOT BE SELFISH. All these WILL benefit me.

This week's marks the start of my 2nd test. I hardly have the time to study, thus resulting in super disappointing results. Initially I took it lighty, but after more disappointing events start to wreck my havoc, I can't help but break down and cry. I know I'm super useless, crying over stupid things. I tried. I really tried. but I couldn't hold it back.

Whatever. I will not do it anymore. Dumb shit.

For this entire week, I have been sleeping after 12 mignight every day, thus receiving only a maximum of 6 hours sleep per day. Ha, of course my digestive system starts to break out another war ... No appeitite for dinner almost everyday. However I still tried to eat some tidbits okay !

Tomorrow's the campcraft competition ... I don't know why but I'm very scared. Just that bloody 1 minute to PASS . 1 minute ! 60 seconds !

After all my trainings, I came to realise that, I'm always the one causing the time drag. It's either me who:
1) Forgets to grab my manila helpm properly, thus causing the flag pole to drop. It almost hit people. Useless.
2) Forgets to step on my peg, thus causing the whole peg to fly out. & I mean really FLY out from the ground. How stupid can I get like seriously. Time waster, useless being.
3) Fails to pull tightly. Others can pull until the whole thing turns tight. I can't. Why? Cause I'm useless. Fullstop.

As you can see, I'm good in nothing though I'm a position holder. Everything flops, no matter how much effort I give in to try to change the ending. But it always turns out . Yes, disappointing. Disappointments after disappointments ... Bad grades, unable to cope with stress, failing to spread out my work evenly among my committee.
How useless can I get like seriously. I brought everything upon myself SO I SHALL AND WILL NOT COMPLAIN . ANYMORE.

I'm down with ONE pathetic test, and I have 5 more ^^ And god-zillion tonnes of homework to complete.
You must be asking why I still have the time to come online. ^^.
WHY? 'Cause I'm back to tell you that I will not be back until tests stop chasing my back?

If you understand, say "understand", if you don't understand, say "don't understand. But if you understand and you say "don't understand", how am I supposed to know whether you understand? Understand?

So yeah anyway, Saturday wasn't really a good day to me.
Charlene's Geography challenge was a total flop, I guess.
What's worse was boy's campcraft, everything was NOT up. Flag pole up, flag not up. Gadget was atrocious. Now it's my turn to be scared. We can't even bring up everything by 16 minutes. BLOODY 16 MINUTES. I don't want to waste all my efforts going to training since 15 December till now by ending up with flag not up, tentage not up and gadget not up.

(Sighs), what to do. Life's like that and I can do nothing but to procastinate right? Gonna go, lashings practice tonight.

Tiring week.

This week has been a really tiring week for me. Although Chinese New Year 2 days of school away, but I'm still tired because there's lots of movement this Chinese New Year, plus there still homework and proposal to rush during CNY. Speechless ...

This year I enjoyed CNY quite a lot. I love it when red packets come to me ^^. Haha, everyone knows why of course $$. Okay so yeah this year I'm throwing $450 into my bank since I can't get my ideal phone. (cries). So why not put my money into better use? Haha, unlike my brother who sppent almost all his money gambling away and buying his new W705. I have to admit I'm very jealous 'cause the phone's function is what I really want ( Wifi, great themes, and most importantly, UNLIMITED MESSAGE SPACE. Which means I don't have to feel sad when I accidentally delete important messages). But I shall look on the bright side. (: He used his own money but my LG KP500 is a gift from my dad ( Somemore it's on a non-special occasion). HAHA. When I accidentally spoil it or something, my heart will feel less pain (of course not for the missing of messages part) . I shall wait for Aino to come into my hands. Haha wait long long.

I wasted Wednesday, Thursday and half of my Friday getting really mad at somebody. I feel so agitated and angry at him. Nothing can describe that mad feeling. When things gets worse and worse, more unhappy things( which I don't want to talk about) came to make me even more insane. I got to a certain point that I feel like crying but held everything back. As a result my moodswings came and I began neglecting the feelings of people around me. Sorry. ):

Today marks Charlene and etc's Geography challenge. (: Well, all the best ! To stupid incooperative people out there : WAKE UP YOUR IDEAS. Stop being so immature yeah. You're making my friend fuming mad!

Today's also NPCC boys' campcraft competition. Although I'm worried but still ALL THE BEST . Initially I wanted to go but due to some unknown stuffs we're unable to. I want to see the tense-ness in the competition !!! So at least I know a little what's in store for me next week ...

130210 Saturday




I had Student Council Camp meeting in the morning ... Settled at MacDonalds at first but ended up in KFC. Meeting ended around 3? Ate late lunch and went to sleep till 1630. Ended up rushing like some mad woman. -.- Drove down to Yishun, and ate at some restaurant.

Reunion dinner was great with my family. What disappointed me was the food. Its standard was only mediocre ... Either too salty or too plain. What's worse was that the total bill was more then $1500. All those 8 dishes didn't even fill my stomach ... So when I reached home I ended up sweeping away New Year's goodies. :/



After which, I realised Shiheng was actually upstairs at her uncle's house ^^. So we decided to meet. At the lift staircase on the 9th storey ^^. We had serious talk at first but ended up laughing like some stupid idiots because I told her some hilarious incidents. HAHA.

After a short while, went home and counted down for Chinese New Year. (;

140210 Sunday.
It's the first day of Chinese New Year, clashed with Valentines. Haha, I have no feelings for Valentines but I'm hyper over CNY ! Red packets ! $.$


Look at my eyes ! They exist of different sizes. ):

After visiting Grandpa went off and visited 9 temples around Singapore ... Tired to the max ! Went home around 8plus and slept only like 1++am.

150210 Monday.
Visited Grandma, lunched and headed over to uncle's house with cousins. First round 1of steamboat startedas early as 1500 !!! Ohmygoshhhhh. Luckily I managed to escape before the second round started. (: !

160210 Tuesday.
House warming at Uncle's house. Attractiveeeeeeeeeee ^^ . I love their new house (envious). Haha.

190210 Friday.
I loved training ! The front part was quite terrible and miserable but after which, things made me lift my mood immediately. Drastically !
When we went for training, Clare and I took over Secondary Ones. Teach them the correct procedures, but they still end up doing the wrong thing. Lol ~ Games aftermath. Clare and I were really tired ... so we just stood there and watch them play with monotone faces. towards the end, my squad began to frantic over our Chinese New Year performance. Initially we only wanted to end it off with songs and our "dongqiang" sizing, but after we heard that each performance needed to last at least 5 minutes, Clare and I decided to call Clare's mum to being over Clare's lionheads so as to perform. HA! Everything was last minute. U08 gathered, settled everything quickly ! After Secondary fours and Secondary Twos was over with their New Year song, we proceeding with our lion dance ! Zhengyuan was (Y), number one in playing the drums ! While performing we were laughing ALLLLLLLLLLLL the way. Haha, lifted my mood immediately ! & after the lion dance, we immediately lined up from shortest to tallest, and Haikal shouted : "Dari kanan, angka dongqiang dongqiang bilang ! " It sent me laughing like mad ~ So after the command everyone shouted "dongqiang" simultaneously and Terence ended with "DONGQIANG SIR AND MA'AM ! " Made the audience and officers laugh immediately. Woohoo ~ U08 power !

I still remember U08's combined camp performance !!!
We kept our performance in the dark and ended up shocking our Ma'ams with :

sit one corner go study,
hoping we'll pass our promotion test,
study until very stressed !

Haha, I know it's stupid. But it's dead hilarious to me !!! As you can see, our cheers and performances always have something to do with NPCC ... JUST THAT THE COMMAND/ CHEERS IS CHANGED 8). Haha !!! I also remember how our seniors told us : " you all very daring hor, do this in front of Ma'am ! " This is what I call, POWER ! NPCC must be courageous , agree? Haha, love U08. <3

After training ended, debriefed, waited for the rain to stop, and home sweet home ! (:

It has been like 1 week since I last posted, although I only had 1 test last week .
Largely due to laziness, trainings and meet ups .

Anyway, these has been little time so I didn’t have the opportunity to carefully wrap my gifts … I feel so guilty !! I shall put in extra the effort on my present then ! Ha, provided that NTUC opens on the second day on Chinese New Year …

Oh, after I reread all of my birthday wishes (manually written or printed out) and valentines’ wishes, I decided to paste every single wishes on a piece of huge board to serve as my motivation . It ended up nice ! Now I can look up at it whenever I feel stressed or sad . (:

Was enjoying myself for the day, when I received one bad news. I'm disappointed and I feel threatened at the same time ...

Why do you have to do this ... Even if you knew, you don't have to use that to threaten me . You don't know how important she is to me. Technically, nobody knows ... I don't want anyone to know about us. Even if SHE saw us, but do you have to call me a spy? I never had that kind of intention when I drew near to her. It's FRIENDSHIP. I never took FRIENDSHIP as a kid's play, neither do I grow close to someone for any ulterior motives. Me = spy because I'm friends with her? BULLSHIT. THE OTHER SHE DON'T EVEN KNOW.
You don't know my feelings, 'cause you have never been through it before . How does it feel like when you are really good friends with someone even though you have to keep this relationship in the dark? Yes you still blissed ( If you don't you deserve to die). But when this relationship is slowly coming to light, and you realise that you'll be implicating the other party, how would you feel? Maybe you can't imagine but I FEEL SHAG. I FEEL GUILTY. I FEEL AS THOUGH I BROUGHT UPON ALL THIS.
